About Us

Red Kangaroo Books is an independent bookstore based in Alice Springs: in the heart of Australia. We have been servicing our community and the rest of Australia for more than decade. We specialise in Australian and Indigenous books and serve a broad range of readers with a variety of tastes. Our stock consists of a wide range of titles that cover Indigenous history, art and language; local, regional and Australian history; biographies of local and larger-than-life heroes; fiction; children's books; flora, fauna and natural history. We could be the only bricks-and-mortar bookshop still standing between Port Augusta, Darwin, Broome and Broken Hill.
